Milliliter is a unit of volume

• The unit for volume is the liter. One liter corresponds to one cubic decimeter. That means you have a cube with an edge length of ten centimeters. This cube has the volume of exactly one liter. Liquids and gases are mostly measured in liters. A milliliter is the thousandth part of a liter.
