Make a goose lantern out of paper mache

If you want to make a goose lantern, you can make this out of paper mache.

1. For the paper mache goose lantern, first inflate a round balloon.
2. After inflating, the next thing to do is to mix the wallpaper paste, as it has to thicken for at least 30 minutes.
3. During the thickening process, you and your children will have to tear up newsprint.
4. If the paste is thick enough, your children can use a brush to brush the paste onto the newspaper.

5. Then glue the pasted pieces of newspaper onto the balloon together with your children. You do not need to glue newspaper around the balloon knot.

2. Then paint the paper mache lantern with white poster paint.
3. When the white paint is dry, you can still glue white down feathers to the lantern if you like.
4. Now glue the cut-out goose neck with the face on one side of the balloon.
5. Finally, all you have to do is poke a hole to the right and left of the open side of the lantern and connect these holes with a wire. In the middle of the wire, you can shape an arch into it so that the lantern stick holds even better.
