England is of course part of the European Union, but despite the movement of goods within Europe, the kingdom has reserved a few special regulations for imports.

• If you want to send a package to England, you should pay attention to a few things, even if a customs declaration does not take place. Parcels and packages must of course not contain any illegal substances. There are also certain requirements that you must adhere to when importing alcohol and cigarettes.
• Even small amounts of alcohol have to be declared and VAT has to be paid.

Guidelines for importing alcohol

Alcohol may only be sent in quantities for private use, a shipment of large quantities would of course immediately appear doubtful to the customs authorities. For goods such as spirits, there is a fixed guideline quantity that should be adhered to.

• A delivery with beer may not exceed 110 liters, spirits 10 liters, wine and sparkling wine may total 90 Do not exceed liters and drinks with a medium alcohol content, for example port, must not exceed 20 liters exceed.
