Tiramisu and homemade biscuit
A homemade sponge cake in a delicious tiramisu - that's definitely worth a sin. This dessert is always popular with friends and family. Give it a try.
Ingredients:
- For the biscuit:
- 3 eggs
- 4 tbsp water
- 150 grams of sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 100 g of flour
- 100 g cornstarch
- 3 tbsp baking powder
- For the tiramisu:
- 1 cup of espresso
- 5 cl liqueur (coffee or orange liqueur)
- 2 cups of cream
- 2 packets of cream stabilizer
- 75 grams of sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 250 g mascarpone
- 4 tbsp cocoa powder
Homemade biscuit - this is how you make it
- Enter the Eggs along with hot water in a mixing bowl. Mix these for a minute on the highest setting until frothy.
- Slowly sprinkle the sugar and vanilla sugar into the egg mixture.
- Now stir the mixture for another 2 minutes.
- Add the flour and then the cornstarch. Mix everything well again.
- Sieve the baking powder through a fine sieve and slowly stir everything in with the whisk.
- Preheat the oven to 175 °.
- Fill the homemade biscuit mixture into a baking dish of 20 x 30 cm and bake the biscuit dough for approx. 20 minutes. Of course, you can also use a different shape.
- After that, you need to let the sponge cake cool down.
- Cut that dough once lengthways, or use a strong thread to pull through the dough.
- Sprinkle the floor with either espresso or one liqueur.

Prepare tiramisu yourself
- Put the cream plus cream stiffener in the mixing bowl and just before stiffening, add the sugar and vanilla sugar.
- In a small separate bowl, stir the mascarpone until smooth.
- Fold this under the whipped cream mixture.
- Then distribute half of the cream on the homemade sponge cake.
- Put the second half of the sponge cake on top.
- Eliminate the rest Tiramisu on the top homemade biscuit.
- Before serving the tiramisu, sprinkle cocoa powder over it.
