5. Bend this corner again, but this time a little less high. The distance between these two creases will later become the edge of the hat.
6. Now you see a transverse rectangle in front of you, which is red in the upper half and white in the lower half.

7. Fold the upper right corner back so that the right edge is flush with the center line.
8. Now bend the lower left corner backwards. The left edge should be parallel to the top edge and have a distance of about 2 cm.
9. Fold the upper left corner forward so that the left vertical edge is flush with the lower horizontal edge.
10. In the middle you can now see a vertical, wide stripe. Now bend your future origami Santa Claus backwards so that the strip is divided in the middle.
11. Now take the top part of the paper and fold it to the left along the right edge of the center strip. Now you should see origami Santa in front of you.
