VIDEO: Folding the CD case

Certainly every second person who has to deal with burned CDs often longs for a cover for the finished CD, which is firstly not expensive and secondly always ready to hand. With a CD cover that you can fold out of A4 paper yourself, you will have the solution to your problem in no time at all. Just give it a try and when you fold it for the first time you will see that the CD case is not heavy, but very practical.

Fold the paper CD case

  1. First, place the CD in the middle of the upper edge of an A4 sheet of paper that you have placed on edge. The CD should lie there so that the edge of the paper is practically exactly under half the CD.
  2. Now fold the right and left sides of the paper so that the CD is enclosed in two strips of paper and pull the edges downwards. Then fold the paper completely upwards so that a crease is created halfway up.
  3. Unfold the paper again and fold again, but this time only to the half that you have just created. You open this again and in the next step position the paper at the bottom so that a 90-degree angle is created at the newest fold. Then bend the sides outwards at this 90-degree angle to the right and left and fold once towards the middle as in the previous step. A kind of wing is created on the right and left side, which you now fold in so that they form a pocket.
  4. Now put the CD in this small pocket and fold the paper over it from above, practically as a lid. Now fold in the upper corners of this lid so that you can put it into the pocket from above and close it like an envelope. The CD case is ready.
  5. This is how you fold from DIN A2 to DIN A4
