There is mosquito repellent for window in different types and qualities. The easiest option is to attach an insect screen directly to the window frame with self-adhesive Velcro tape. In this way, the window can still be opened Mosquitoes but have to stay outside.

How to attach a mosquito repellent

You can buy the mosquito net in finished packs directly in the building or supermarket. It is cheaper to use the yard goods that you can cut to size. As an alternative to the Velcro tape from the hardware store, Velcro tape is also available by the meter in fabric shops - usually at a lower price.

  1. Before you attach the mosquito repellent, you should clean the window completely. It shouldn't be dirty or greasy and should dry completely after cleaning.
  2. Cut the Velcro to the correct size. You will need four matching pieces for the four sides of the window. The Velcro tape is stuck on the inside of the side of the frame facing you.
  3. Remove the protective film from the adhesive side of the Velcro tape and first attach it to one point. Remember that once the Velcro tape sticks, you should not remove it. So proceed slowly and carefully.

  5. Press the Velcro tape onto the window frame with a dry cloth. Work your way forward in this way until the Velcro is completely glued on all four sides.
  6. Take the mosquito net to hand. It should be a little bigger than the window you want to tape. Longer protruding pieces can be cut off afterwards. Fasten it in the middle first at the top and bottom in the middle of the window. Don't pull it too tight, but don't let it hang too loosely either.
  7. Attach the grille evenly to one side of the window first - both above and below. Then move on to the other side.
  8. Lastly, attach the grille to the sides of the window. Make sure that it is attached evenly and that it is not too tight. Then cut off excess pieces that are too long.

Depending on the weather, your grille can last for several years. If it comes off, you only need to replace the Velcro strip and not the entire grille.
