  1. Soy granules must be soaked before they are prepared so that they swell. Under no circumstances should you take pure water, since it is then difficult to prepare the granules to be tasty. Use vegetable broth instead.
  2. When soaking, follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. As a rule, such soy products are soaked in twice to three times the amount of liquid.
  3. Pour boiling vegetable broth over the soy granules in a saucepan or heat-resistant bowl. You can season these properly, as the soy granules themselves are tasteless.
  4. Let the granules swell in the liquid and squeeze them out before frying them. This works best if you put a perfectly fitting plate in the bowl and pour off the liquid. You can then press the plate onto the soy granulate like a press and thus remove excess liquid.

  2. For a spicy marinade you can mix together soy sauce, olive oil, mustard, a squeeze of lemon and tomato paste and season everything with paprika, salt and pepper. You can also make a marinade from soy sauce, ginger, coriander, turmeric and chilli or create one yourself.
  3. Pour the marinade over the diced tofu, put everything in a lockable freezer and leave for at least an hour in the refrigerator draw.
  4. Then fry the tofu with a little olive oil until it is nice and brown on all sides. Just make sure that you don't get too much marinade into the pan, as it burns, and it is better to let the tofu drain before frying.
