It is therefore best to give your four-legged friend their own corner in the garden, where they can dig to their heart's content and even now and then a little dog pee is no longer the end of the world.

1. Separate a piece of your garden with a fence. If the dog is to be able to romp around here, this piece must of course have a size appropriate to the dog - even for a dog about the size of a dachshund, 25 square meters is the minimum. If the dog lawn is only to be used for small or large businesses, around 10 square meters are enough - even for large dogs.
2. Prepare the subsurface. The terrain here should ideally be level - if necessary, remove mounds of earth and remove larger stones, rubble or similar obstacles.
