VIDEO: Spinach waffles with sheep cheese
Bake waffles from spinach and sheep cheese
- First, the spinach needs to be cooked before it can be mixed with the rest of the ingredients.
- The most important thing in waffle baking is the waffle batter. For that you need two Eggs with 150 g flour, ½ teaspoon baking powder, a pinch of salt, 50 g butter or margarine, 1 tablespoon olive oil and the 100 g previously cooked spinach leaves with a hand mixer on the highest setting.
- Then you have to crumble and stir in the sheep's cheese.
- To make the waffles airy and fluffy, 125 ml Mineral water can be added to the dough with carbon dioxide.
- The smoother and more foamy the batter is, the nicer the waffles can be baked.
- Now you need to preheat the waffle iron and brush it with a little fat.
- Then put a small ladle of waffle batter into the iron and bake until the waffles are golden brown.
Waffle recipe without egg - this is how it works with buttermilk
There are many waffle recipes, but most of them require eggs in the batter to be light and airy.
Bon Appetit!
Alternatively, walnut waffles
Another recipe for hearty waffles is that for walnut waffles. A great option, the actually simple one dough to make it even more interesting!
- To do this, stir 20 g butter until foamy and gradually add the eggs and stir with a hand mixer to a creamy mass.
- Then add the spices and add the flour mixed with the baking powder and nuts, and with the milk stir.
- Finally, all you have to do is add the cheese to the batter and fold in.
Now preheat the waffle iron and grease it a little. Put a ladle of batter for each waffle in the waffle iron and bake. You can of course vary the dough as you like - how about, for example, without cheese, with a sweet variant?
Enjoy your meal!
