As a novice driver, things are certainly not always easy. So sometimes the question arises, where is the turn signal, where is the gas pedal or where is the windshield wiper on the car?

Driving a car properly is not an art.

The automobile, as it used to be called, is a motor vehicle driven by one engine is driven. In 1886 the first car in Germany was made by the inventor Carl Benz. However, the handling of the cars of that time had relatively little in common with the vehicles we know today.

This is how it is split up with a car

  • To find out where the accelerator pedal is, you first have to distinguish which car you are in. On the one hand, it can be that you are driving a vehicle with an automatic transmission or you are driving with it circuit.
  • In an automatic vehicle, you don't have to shift the clutch to get around. The footwell is clearly divided here, with the brake on the left and the gas pedal on the right.
  • If the car is controlled via a circuit, the footwell is arranged a little differently. Here the brake pedal is again on the left and the accelerator pedal on the right, but there is also a special pedal for the clutch between the two pedals.
  • In the case of people with a disability, the accelerator pedal cannot be located on the right side of the car in exceptional cases. It can also be located near the Steering Council. This enables people to still drive a car despite their restrictions.

What happens when the accelerator pedal is pressed on the car?

  • The so-called accelerator pedal or - as it is also called - the accelerator pedal, serves as a control element in the car. It regulates the speed of the vehicle: the harder you move your foot down, the faster the vehicle moves.
  • In today's models, the accelerator is no longer mechanical. If you step on the pedal, a sensor is activated that controls the injection system in the engine, although this only applies to diesel engines.
