- The bauxite obtained is processed into aluminum using the so-called Bayer process, which was developed by Carl Josef Bayer. About four tons of bauxite are needed to produce one ton of aluminum.
- Aluminum has the advantage that it is quite stable, but still light and does not rust. It is therefore used in a variety of ways. In the private sector you will find products made of aluminum as food cans, beverage cans, saucepans, aluminum foil and much more.
