• So that a vaccine in your body works, its job is to produce so many antibodies that the HI virus - the retroviruses - has no chance. Basically, there is also an active ingredient that can stop the viruses. The problem, however, is that scientists are still facing major problems.
• The reason why there is still no vaccine against the HI virus is due to the many challenges that the scientists unfortunately cannot yet overcome. On the one hand, there are so many virus strains that first have to be "filtered out" in view of the extreme genetic diversity. The other big problem is that the virus always evades, before the immune response. These are just some of the problems.
• The vaccine, which has already been hypothetically developed, is based on another source of error. It is called viral reverse transcriptase (RT). Simply put, it's enzymes that were discovered in the retroviruses. But they have no so-called correction function. Unfortunately, the viruses can mutate again and again (change in the genetic make-up - permanent).
