Officially it's only in the Multiplayer-Mode of Minecraft possible to use the so-called "Commands", a series of commands that enable various construction techniques and thus make the construction of buildings much easier. A mod with the aptly named "Singleplayer Commands" brings these commands into the single player mode of Minecraft. For example, you can use these commands to place all objects in Minecraft in your own inventory. Finding and mining rare raw materials such as obsidian or diamonds becomes superfluous and you can focus completely on the construction of your own buildings.

How to install Singleplayer Commands for Minecraft

  1. Download the mod "Singleplayer Commands". You can find the download in the corresponding thread on the fansite Minecraftforum.net under the heading "Preferred Download". Note that the Mod version and the Minecraft version number must always match. Unzip Then place the downloaded ZIP archive in any folder. Keep this folder open in the background.
  2. Since Minecraft is still in beta, the installation of Mods still very cumbersome. You need an unpacker like 7Zip or WinRAR. You can find these programs at Chip.de, for example, where you can download the programs free of charge.
  3. If you have installed one of the mentioned decompressors, you have to change to the installation directory of Minecraft. You can find this by default at Windows Vista / 7 under "C: \ Users \ USERNAME \ AppData \ Roaming \ .minecraft". USERNAME corresponds to the registered Windows user account. In the ".minecraft" folder, open the "bin" folder.
  4. In the "bin" folder you will now find some files with the ending "* .jar". Find the minecraft.jar file and right click on the file so that the context menu appears. Select "Open with" by pressing the mouse drive over the selection. A side menu opens in which you can now select the previously installed unpacker with one click, i.e. either 7Zip or WinRAR.

  6. The previously selected program now opens and the content of "minecraft.jar" is displayed. Now bring out the folder opened in the background into which you previously unzipped the "Singleplayer Commands" mod. Select the entire contents of the folder and drag the files into the open window of the decompressor. The files will now be added to minecraft.jar. If a message appears asking if you want to overwrite files in the jar file, confirm it.
  7. Now close the unpacker. The "Singleplayer Commands" mod is now installed and will be loaded automatically the next time Minecraft is started.

In the single player you can now press the T key on your keyboard Press to bring up the console where you can enter the commands. You can find one here complete list of possible commands.
