Ovens are in Minecraft an important basis for game progress. After lighting, a wide variety of building materials can be produced, but food can also be refined. However, in order to use the oven, you need to know the correct recipes.

Use an oven in Minecraft

  1. Before you can use a stove, it must of course first be built. It's not complicated, since stoves in Minecraft are only made of stone. However, you need a 3 x 3 field workbench.
  2. Eight paving stones are arranged on top of this in an O-shape so that only the middle field remains empty. If the ingredients are then put together, the oven is ready in inventory and can be placed anywhere.
  3. In Minecraft, all you need to light the stove is fuel and the raw material to be melted or fried. Contrary to what might be expected, no lighter is required. Instead, the furnace is used like a workbench.
  4. Right-click to open the crafting menu and put the ingredients required for the production in the oven. Another click of the mouse lights the stove and transforms the previously placed material.
  5. "How do you make iron in Minecraft?" - That's how it's done

Search for a recipe, light it up - done

It is of course possible to try for yourself which objects can be refined in the oven and what exactly you need for them.

  • With a little logic, you will come up with some recipes all by yourself. However, one ingredient is essential in every manufacturing process: fuel. What you use to light the stove in Minecraft also determines how long it burns and how many items can be crafted.
  • The easiest fuel to find is wood. Wood can be obtained by cutting down trees that are basically native to every Minecraft island. But cuttings or branches can just as well be burned. However, their calorific value is very low. If you want your stove to burn for a particularly long time, put a bucket of lava in it. It then remains active for 1000 seconds, which is by far the longest burn time.
  • If you don't feel like experimenting, you can refine the following things in your oven to start with: You can produce better food by cooking fish or meat in the oven. This is worthwhile because it increases the healing properties of the food.
  • Glass for windows is made when you melt sand in a furnace. More building materials can be obtained by heating clay, gold or iron ore.
  • You can also use the oven to produce colors for dyeing wool. To do this, simply dry a cactus in the flames. You will then receive the dye cactus green.
