What you need:

  • a crumpled banknote
  • Iron
  • Ironing paper
  • blank gift card

Iron money

  1. Take your crumpled up bill and place it on an ironing board or other smooth, non-flammable surface.
  2. Place a special ironing paper in between (if necessary, sandwich paper will do as well) and place it on your bank note.
  3. Set your iron to the lowest setting and leave the steam function switched off. The iron must not be too hot, otherwise the banknote could burn.
  4. Iron over your money in small circular motions. Do not stay too long in one place or press too hard. Your bill could turn yellow or even have burn marks. Be careful with this process and be careful not to burn yourself on the iron.

  1. Take a blank card and cut out a large piece of skin-colored plaster. Alternatively, you can also use brightly colored, pre-cut pieces of plaster.

Another gift variant

  1. Alternatively, after you have finished ironing, you can shape your bill into a small square fold and from all four sides with adhesive tape on the front of the gift card glue. Leave a small window so that the number of the banknote can be seen.
