Download songs to your smartphone

If you own a Smartphones from Samsung, for example the Galaxy S Plus or Galaxy S i9000, you can use the "Kies Air" software to transfer songs to your Smartphone load, and then as a Ringtone set up.

1. First you have to switch on the internet connection of your smartphone via W-LAN or mobile network.
2. In the next step, run the "Kies Air" software on your smartphone. The software is preinstalled on most Samsung smartphones, but it can also be downloaded free of charge from the Google Play Store.
3. You will now receive an address from Kies Air which you have to enter in the address bar of your browser on your computer. Then confirm the access request with the "Allow" button on your smartphone.
4. Now go to your browser. You will now receive an overview of all the data on your smartphone.

5. To upload songs to your smartphone, click in the window "music"On the word" Upload ".
6. Now select the songs that you want to upload to your smartphone and then click on the "Ok" button.
7. You can now click on the text "Set as ringtone" under the uploaded song to set this song as your ringtone.

After you have accepted the settings, close your browser and exit the “Kies Air” software by clicking the “Stop” button on your smartphone.

Set up a song as a ringtone

There is another option to set songs as ringtone on your Samsung Galaxy S. This is done directly via your smartphone.

1. First, start the music app on your smartphone so that you can set up songs as ringtone. At the top under the "All" tab you have an overview of the songs that are on your smartphone.
2. Now choose a song and hold your finger on it. Then select the item "Set as" and finally go to the item "Telephone ringtone".

This variant of setting up songs as ringtone also works with most smartphones, even if they are not made by Samsung.
