What the handwriting reveals

It is amazing what handwriting reveals about a person. The interpretation of handwriting is not a mysterious magic, but for many a real science. Find out how you can better judge a person just by their handwriting.

Scripture betrays the writer.
Scripture betrays the writer.

A document sometimes reveals more about its author than the author would like.

How you interpret the handwriting

  • The prerequisite for handwriting interpretation is that you have an unadulterated writing sample. Handwriting only reveals something about a person if he does not consciously act contrary to his usual habit and uses a different typeface.
  • One of the characteristics of a font is always the inclination of the letters. Font can be slanted to the right or left. Some people also write very straightforwardly. In graphology, a person's inclination to type stands for the trait of openness or restraint.
  • In addition to the slope, you also need to consider how the script is done. There are very clear, sober typefaces that are easy to read, which in itself reveals a lot about the author. In contrast, some people write as if they were not writing a letter, but decorating a sheet of paper with ornaments. Squiggles, curves and curves make every single letter very attractive, but also difficult to read.
  • Also pay attention to how the individual letters are executed in their lengths downwards or upwards. Long strokes in both directions are tolerated as a sign of self-confidence or arrogance. This explains what a narrow font with barely recognizable lengths reveals about the author.
  • Practice cursive writing - this is how you will get beautiful handwriting

  • When interpreting your handwriting, it is of course also important whether the letters are well connected and whether the words are tightly packed or written with a clear gap between them.

The font style reveals a lot

Before judging a person from just their handwriting, keep in mind that handwriting interpretation is not really an exact science. It is also known as writing psychology and should be supplemented by other information about the person to be interpreted.

  • If your letter writer is writing straight up, you can assume that he is a very sober-minded, decent person. A tilt to the left reveals something completely different. The handwriting suggests self-centeredness, which isn't always bad when it comes to self-control. An inclination to the right stands for openness, which in turn is only good as long as it does not extend to indiscipline at the same time.
  • Sometimes you come across tiny font that you can barely make out the individual letters. All are the same size and, above all, are pulled up or down the same way. Even the first impression stands for a person who, if possible, does not attract attention and actually just wants to hide. That is also what this script reveals when it comes to handwriting interpretation. You are probably dealing with a very insecure writer who is most comfortable in his quiet mousehole. In any case, such a font does not reveal assertiveness and self-confidence.
  • Words that are closely spaced indicate an angry person who may fall around your neck the first time you come into contact. You won't find any distance there, but that doesn't have to be fundamentally wrong either. Consideration and order prevail when word spacing is large. Sometimes, however, this also reveals a certain detachment that the handwriting without spaces lacks.
  • What the handwriting doesn't tell you are the circumstances under which that To write came about. Rush, a bad day, or poor health can also affect handwriting. So in order to get a fair picture, you will need to get to know the author of your handwriting sample.

A handwriting reveals a lot, but really not everything. Just think of them as one point of reference among many.
