How to color a background black

Coloring a background or a layer black in Photoshop is child's play. With a little basic knowledge of the Photoshop software, you can achieve the desired result with just a few clicks:

1. Open Photoshop.
2. Create a new document by clicking on "New" in the "File" tab.
3. In the window that now appears, you can specify the desired size of your document. Do this and confirm with "Ok".
4. Now you have your work surface in front of you, the background color of which you can now define. To do this, make sure that the color black is present in the foreground and background color button.
5. If it is not, click the button and select the color black in the window that appears.
6. Activate the "Selection rectangle" button in the toolbar.
7. Now mark your workspace by right-clicking on it and clicking on "Select all" in the context menu that appears.
8. Now click again with the right mouse button in the working area and select the option "Fill Area" in the context menu.
9. In the window that appears, you now only have to select the foreground or background color under the item "Fill with:", depending on which you have assigned the color black.
10. Confirm with "Ok" and you have a black background.
