Change the language in Firefox

Install Mozilla Firefox on the computer

If you want to use the Internet browser Firefox, you only have to install it on your computer:

• Log into Internet and search for the term Firefox. You will already receive a few pages as a search result.
• This also includes the page of Chip Online. There you can download Firefox for free by following the instructions there.
• While downloading Firefox, you can choose which features you would like to have. The language change in Firefox will always be available.

Switching to another language

If you now want to switch your Firefox to another language, you should proceed as follows:

1. Open the Firefox Internet browser as usual.
2. Now click on Tools under the menu bar and then on Settings.
3. A window now appears with its own menu bar, which can be accessed via pictures is shown. The Content item is located under this menu bar. Among other things, "Select preferred languages ​​for the display of websites" appears in this window. To the right of this description is the Select button. If you click on it, you can now select the language.
4. You now have the option of choosing which languages ​​should be displayed in websites that can be displayed in multiple languages. You can change the preset order of these languages ​​by clicking on a displayed language and then choosing the functions up, down or even delete.
5. If the language you want is not there, you have to activate the "Select a language to add" function. Now you can choose the language you want and add it to the list above.
6. If this language is always to be used first, you would have to move it to the top of the list using the button up (point 4).
