The keyboard is misaligned on Skype
Skype is a wonderful program to chat with friends all over the world. But it is annoying when the keyboard is misplaced and you cannot type correctly.
When you're chatting with friends or family on Skype, it's very annoying that the Keyboard is sometimes misplaced and you can no longer type as usual, but constantly wrong characters appear.
Why wrong symbols can appear on Skype
- Maybe you pressed the Shift key. This means that only capital letters or symbols are written instead of numbers.
- On a laptop that doesn't have a separate numeric keypad, numbers can sometimes appear instead of letters. You may have activated the number pad on the right-hand letter area of the keyboard using the function key.
- The input scheme language has changed so that a different keyboard layout is used. Here are some symbols in other places.
The keyboard is misaligned - you can do that
- If necessary, reset the Shift key to its normal state and make sure that the numeric keypad is deactivated.
- If it still doesn't work, move the mouse to the edge of the screen so that the Windows taskbar appears.
- Check whether you can see your country code (DE for Germany) on the right-hand side, approximately next to the clock.
- Should there be another combination of letters here, e.g. B. EN for England, which results in z and y being swapped, you can toggle this by clicking on it.
- A small selection window will now open and you can switch back to the language you want.
