Of course, it is a good idea to write invitation cards that announce the happy event. And what could be nicer than a homemade invitation card. Whether for your own birthday or your child's birthday, these cards to make yourself are an eye-catcher.

What you need:

Motif of the invitation card

  1. First you have to come up with a suitable motif, which is as extraordinary as possible.
  2. You can find suggestions in stationery stores or on the Internet. You will of course be most beautiful when you design the motif completely yourself.
  3. Celebrate z. B. a children's birthday, you can let the birthday child decide how their card should look. This is where the funniest and most beautiful pictures come about and the invitation cards are therefore unique.
  4. If you have several ideas, you can live them out to the full, because not every card has to look the same. Especially with children, the motto is: "The more colorful, the better."

  4. The basis is always the same, the design is entirely up to you. A4 sheets are best.
  5. You fold this in the middle, so that you already have the basic structure.
  6. Now take a sheet of crepe or tracing paper and cut the edges wavy all around so that it is smaller than the card itself afterwards, and fold it in the middle as well.
  7. With the gel pens, glitter pens or normal felt-tip pens, you can now put your artistic skills to the test on the front of the card. Paint, write and paste.
  8. Place the crepe paper on which your invitation text will later be placed exactly in the middle of the cardboard so that both edges are exactly on top of each other.
  9. Cut a 40 cm long strip of wrapping paper and tie it vertically to the fold of the two papers. This keeps the inner part where it should be and if you curl the protruding ends of the wrapping paper a little, you have conjured up a small present.
  10. Only after you are satisfied with the design of the invitation cards do you start with the inner part.

  1. Before you start writing wildly, you should first write down on a scrap sheet what you would like to communicate to your guests.
  2. The three Ws play a major role here. Let your guests know who, when and where they are party takes place.
