Set the proxy manually

The easiest way to do this is to go to the proxy settings Google Change Chrome by using the browser settings:

  1. If necessary, start Chrome and open the settings. You can find this via the wrench symbol, which is displayed to you at the top right.
  2. Scroll down a bit so you can see the link "Advanced Settings ...". Click on this.

  6. Tick ​​"Proxy server for LAN ..." below, enter the address of the server and the appropriate port and click "OK" twice.

Use extensions for Google Chrome

If you want to change the proxy settings often, you can alternatively fall back on various extensions that make the changes noticeably easier for you.

  • You can download the extensions free of charge from the Chrome Web Store download and install. The installation usually only takes a few seconds and you can quickly upgrade again uninstall by right-clicking on the respective icon and "Remove from Chrome" with the left Select mouse button.
  • We recommend the extension "Proxy Switchy!", which among other things enables you to create different profiles and thus set up different proxy servers. With a click on the symbol (a globe) you can then choose the one you want profile/ select the proxy and thus activate it for Google Chrome. Via "Options" you can then manage your profiles or export or export your settings. import again.
