Too public Facebook profiles are not always beneficial

  • Usually, other Facebook members don't just see personal information in yours profile, but also see all of your friendships. In certain cases, however, this is more of a disadvantage, for example when certain members are not allowed to know who you are friends with on Facebook.
  • The important settings with which you regain your privacy are unfortunately somewhat hidden and are usually very difficult to find. Not only can you make your profile information invisible, but with the right settings you can also hide your friendships from certain members. Secret friendships are possible

  1. Log in with your login details Facebook and click on your profile name. Use the gear icon (top right) to get to the "Privacy Settings".

If you want to restrict this further, you can, for example, also use a group or create a specific group of people yourself. So only the selected people can see your friendships. With the individual Facebook privacy you can even exclude certain people directly.
