No sound during Facebook chat

It often happens that when you are in the Internet is and has logged in to a social network, carries out another activity on the side and, for example, eats, TV looking or doing chores. So as not to miss out on someone with you Facebook in the Chat sends a message, it is advantageous if this is combined with an acoustic signal. To be able to hear this, however, the sound must be switched on.
Make audio audible during Facebook chat
- If you don't hear a sound when you receive a new message in the Facebook chat, it can be quite simply because your PC doesn't have any speakers. This is often the case with PCs with a computer and a screen. If so, you'll need to get speakers first before you can hear sounds in Facebook chat as well.
- The second problem that can occur, and it sounds simple, but often occurs, is that the sound of the PC or laptop has been switched off. You can see this at the bottom right in the task bar, usually next to the time. If the sound is switched off, you can undo this and the Facebook sounds will work again.
- The third possibility is of course that you have switched off the sound for Facebook chat messages within your Facebook account. To reset this, first click on "Chat" at the bottom right after logging in and then on the gear symbol to get to the chat options. If there is no tick in front of "Chat tones", click on it and the tone for receiving messages in Facebook chat will be activated.
