Is infrared heating also suitable for the bathroom, but how do you have to proceed to install it safely there? Some pointers.

It replaces the bathroom mirror: the infrared heater!
It replaces the bathroom mirror: the infrared heater!
  • Infrared heating, i.e. the generation of heat by means of infrared waves that do not heat the room air but rather bodies and objects that they hit, is becoming increasingly popular. This is not least due to the simple installation and safe use - even in the bathroom!
  • Mirror infrared heating is particularly suitable and therefore popular for use in the bathroom. Outwardly, this is not at all as heater to recognize. It replaces the conventional bathroom mirror, warms and, as an additional "bonus", offers the advantage of that you'll never have to get out of the shower and wipe the mirror first because they don't fog up!

The infrared heating is also available for damp rooms

  • The mirror heating plates with infrared technology are actually always suitable for damp rooms, as they are mainly designed for this area. With the other types of infrared heating, you should clarify with the dealer or manufacturer whether you can use them in the bathroom install. For most models, however, this should be the case.
  • You will not be able to use any type of electrically operated radiator for the direct spray area or for inside the shower. But this is usually not necessary to have a comfortably warm bath.
  • It is important that not only the radiator is protected from direct water exposure, but also of course the power connection. However, since special installation and safety regulations apply in damp rooms anyway, this is generally guaranteed. “Do-it-yourself” power connections or even cable extensions are absolutely taboo in the bathroom because they are life-threatening!
