Here's how you can use GIMP to change eye color

  1. Open the photo of a person whose eye color you want to change using the GIMP.

  2. Select the Lasso tool from the Tools menu.

  3. Now zoom in on the section of the eye.

  4. Click with the lasso tool on the outer contour of the iris and repeat this step as often as until you completely circle the iris of the eye whose color you want to change with the lasso tool to have.

  5. Close the lasso mark by connecting the last point to the first.

  9. "Transparency" should be selected for the layer fill type.

  10. Now select a desired color from the color scale.

  11. Select the paint bucket from the Tools menu and fill the selection with the previously selected color.

  12. Now switch the layer mode from “Normal” to “Color”.

  13. Now reduce the layer's opacity to about 30 to 40 percent.

  14. Turn off the "New_eyes" layer to change the eye color.

  15. Then select the Elliptical Selection from the Tools menu and select the pupil outlines. (When selecting the second pupil, first press the shift key again).

  16. Now the selection is deleted by right-clicking> Edit> Delete.

  17. Now just right click> select> nothing - done!
