Most multiples in the world

How many babies do you think can fit in one tummy? All at once, of course. Three, four or even more? Right. It's about multiples. They are born in every country, but mostly only twins or triplets are spoken of. But how many babies together have shared a stomach and which country is the front runner?

1. Half a dozen in one fell swoop

In Great Britain, the first sextuplets were born in 1968 after hormone treatment. Unfortunately, not all of them survived. The sextuplets, which were born in 1983 - also in Great Britain - had a better chance. Not only did most of them survive here, but all of them.

2. Seven in one go

Sevenlings were first born in the United States in 1985, and then in Saudi Arabia in 1997. Unfortunately, most of them did not survive. But in the same year - again in the United States - there were seven new babies born. Week of pregnancy were brought by caesarean section and survived.

3. By eight, the house is usually full

Live births of eight infants were reported from Texas, USA in 1998. Unfortunately, one of the babies passed away after a short time, but the siblings are still fine. In 2009, a woman in the United States became the mother of eight children through donor sperm. Here, however, voices were loud because the mother already had six children and was also a single parent.

4. Nine multiples are not enough

Can't imagine that there is room for nine babies? Yes, it works. Of course, the possibility of a complete live birth is very small here. So also in 1971 in Australia and 1999 in Malaysia. None of the multiples survived longer than six days.

5. The world is amazed at that

And here it ends, the list of most multiples in the world. At least according to the Guinness Book of Records. Because there are reports of Elfling or even more all over the world. However, there is no evidence of these births. Recorded - but not medically proven - are the births of ten-births in Spain (1924), China (1936) and Brazil (1946). Unfortunately, it is also not stored whether all or at least most of them survived.
