Explore pyramids and temples safely in Minecraft
There's a lot to explore in Minecraft, and not just underground. In pyramids and temples you can also get hold of valuable objects over days. Finding these is one problem - surviving the respective structures is another. However, with the right tips, you can safely get to the treasures.
Treasures, temples and pyramids
Since the update to version 1.3, the Minecraft-Worlds find new structures: temples and pyramids. These rare buildings will entice you with high quality rewards and treasures, but they are difficult to find.
- Temples can only be found in jungle biomes. They are relatively small buildings made of cobblestones. Due to the vegetation with tendrils, they are also extremely well camouflaged in the densely forested areas. Individual chests are hidden in the three-story temples, which you can uncover using a small switch puzzle. But be careful: To protect the facilities, traps have been set up that careless Minecraft players can injure.
- The pyramids that you will find in the deserts are much more productive. Again, these are rare complexes, but they are well worth exploring. Four chests full of rare items can be found in a pyramid - in a secret chamber. But here, too, you have to overcome a trap that consists of several TNT blocks. One wrong step and you and your supposed prey are off to Minecraft heaven.
Without harm to the treasure in the temple
The temple is not fatal, but even so, the self-firing system can do some damage to you. With the right approach, you can get into the building complex without damage and crack the secret chest.
- In the entrance area of the temple, which is mostly blocked by tendrils, you will find a hook with string on the floor. If you touch the line, an arrow shot is released via a redstone mechanism. By removing the cord, you can permanently disarm the mechanism. However, the tendrils make it difficult to see in the temple corridors, which is why you should proceed slowly.
- You can now explore the building safely. In the basement you will find three levers which, if correctly combined, open a secret passage on the middle level, behind which the chest can be found. So the pyramid does not become a death trap
The temples can scare you off and steal a few health points, but the pyramids are potential death traps.
- Pyramids are simple structures made up of two towers and a large hall. In the center of the hall you will find a striking pattern made of dyed wool on the floor - the treasure chamber is "hidden" here.
- The treasury is a few blocks below the actual floor of the pyramids. If you fall down, you will lose some hearts. It is particularly critical if you knock away the blue wool in the middle and then jump down. You then land directly on a push button switch that ignites TNT boxes hidden under the floor. In this case you have no chance of leaving the hole alive.
- The solution is simple but time-consuming: carve a path into the rock at the edge of the treasure chamber to get from the top to the bottom without triggering the pressure switch mechanism. In this way you can safely reach the chests and defuse the trap by removing the pressure plate.
