Connect Trillian to Skype
Version 5.1 of the Trillian multimessenger is now also compatible with Skype. You can save Trillian on your computer for free from the Internet and then connect it to your Skype account.
How to install Trillian after the free download
Before you can connect your Skype account to the Multimessenger, you have the option of using Trillian for free from the Internet to load and then to install.
- Via the website of CHIP you can save the free messenger Trillian on your PC with the download button.
- After the download, run the downloaded installation file.
- The first point of the installation is the acceptance of the license agreement, which you can accept with the button "Agree" after reading the agreement.
- In the next point you can determine whether Trillian should create a desktop icon and an entry in the start menu and whether Trillian should be executed directly when Windows starts. After the settings you can continue the installation with the button "Next".
- It is not necessary to install the Trillian toolbar, so remove the check mark next to “Install the Trillian Toolbar” and continue the installation with the “Next” button.

This is how you can connect your Skype account to the Trillian Messenger
After you have successfully installed Messenger on your system, you can now connect your Skype account to Trillian in just a few steps.
- First, after the installation, click on the “Launch” button to start the Messenger. If you have already installed Messenger, start it first.
- If you do not yet have an account for Trillian, you must now register for "A new user account". If you already have an account, log in with your existing details.
- Now select the "Trillian" button at the top and click on the "Manage accounts" label.
- Then select the text "User accounts" on the left, click on the button "Add new user account" and then select "Skype".
- Finally, enter your username and password for Skype and click on the "Connect" button.
