Install server for Minecraft 1.8

  1. First of all, you need to look at the Minecraft server fileyou download and save the software for the server install. This is done in just a few steps.
  2. After you have downloaded the "Minecraft_Server.exe" file on your computer we recommend creating a new folder beforehand, as several files are created during installation.
  3. Now drag the server file into the folder and then click on it to start the installation. When this is done, close the window and open the "Server Properties" in the previously created folder.
  4. Here you can change various settings with "True" (true = allow) or "False" (false = reject). You will need this file again after creating the network, as the relevant data must be entered here. It is therefore advisable not to close it at first.

Create the network

  1. So that your friends can also play on the Minecraft 1.8 server, set up a virtual network with them Hamachi. If you have not yet installed Hamachi, download the file and install the program.
  2. Then start Hamachi, select "Network" in the menu bar and click on "Create new network". Now enter a name after "Network ID" so that it can be clearly assigned. You also assign a password that your friends can use to log into the network.
  3. Select "Create" to complete this step. Now all you have to do is enter the network data in Minecraft's "Server Properties". To do this, transfer the IP displayed in Hamachi behind "Server IP".
  4. Close the window and start "Server.exe" again.

Now that you have successfully created the server for Minecraft 1.8, send your friends the access data for the Hamachi network. Now log in to Minecraft and choose "Multiplayer", your previously created server will be displayed, to which your friends can then connect.
