Set "restricted friends" on Facebook
If you've been logged into Facebook for a while, then you may have had the experience that it's not all close Friends want to get in touch with you, but you also want friendship invitations from more casual acquaintances obtain. If you do not want to make all information in your profile equally accessible to them, you can use lists to grant your contacts limited rights.

The lists are a way of friends to be assigned to different groups. This can help you to keep track of the growing number of contacts. - In addition, you can also assign restricted rights to the contacts that you have classified in special lists. This means, for example, that members of a list cannot see your private contact details; do not recognize whether you are online or not allowed to read postings on your pin board.
- These restricted rights on Facebook are always useful when you want to add someone as a contact, that person but do not want to allow full insight into your privacy, for example because it is your boss or a work colleague.
Assign friends to lists with restricted rights
Facebook offers you various lists that you can use to organize and classify your contacts can use. There is also a list for limited acquaintances here.

- The people on this list cannot see your status messages. The persons concerned will only see what you have indicated as publicly available. Even pictureson which these acquaintances have been marked by you can be seen by the people.
- To classify the contacts, call your profile on Facebook. Here you will see the "Friends" field in the top white bar, and when you click on it, you will see an overview of your contacts. If there are very many, it can take a while for all of them to load.
- Click the Friends box next to the person and a dialog box will open where you can go to "add to another list" and select the setting "restricted" there. A tick is then set in front of this.
