• There is a reason why other vehicles, such as station wagons, are only offered as 5-door models.
• This already shows in a certain way that the drivers of 5-door cars tend to be more practically oriented, while 3-door cars are more likely to be viewed as sporty vehicle variants.

The pros and cons can help you choose

Both variants of vehicles have advantages and disadvantages, even if 5-door models seem more practical at first glance.

• But a 3-door hatch can also have its advantages. Such an advantage can be seen, for example, in the fact that the entry area in such vehicles is larger because the doors are also longer here.
• However, such an advantage can also become a disadvantage. This applies, for example, when such a vehicle is driven into a tight parking space. Here the longer door can prove to be a hindrance when getting in and out.
• The advantage of a 5-door, on the other hand, is obvious. You are probably better off choosing a vehicle like this if, for example, you frequently take more than one person with you. This is especially true of family vehicles, of course.
• However, many people also use the back seat in the vehicle as a storage space. Here, too, easier access to this can be an advantage if there are also doors at the rear.
