How do I edit the background with Photoscape?

Do you have pictures of yourself that you find beautiful, but for which you would like to have a different background? Here you can read how to edit it in Photoscape.

Sometimes you have photosthat you like yourself on, but where the background is not particularly nice. Or you have in general pictures, where you want to set off the background in color. This, and a few more functions, is available via the free program "Photoscape" possible.

The background can be colored in Photoscape

  1. First, start Photoscape.
  2. Then click on "Processing" on the start page and you will be redirected. On the left side you will see a directory tree in which you can look for the folder with your images.
  3. Select the folder, whereupon you will be shown all images found in the folder in the area under the directory tree.

  6. After you click the picture, it will open and you can work on it.
  7. Then select “Tools” in the lower menu.
  8. Then click on “Paint Brush” and determine the brush thickness and the color with which you want to paint the background.
  9. Then go with the mouse pointer on the picture and click with the left button on the background of the photo.
  10. If you hold the button down while you move over the background, the color will be transferred to the picture.
  11. It is advisable to select a large brush thickness for large areas, but for fine work you should use smaller brush thicknesses.
  12. As soon as you have edited the background according to your wishes, you can save the image to your hard disk save.

How you can still edit the background

  • If you don't want to just colorize the background, there are other options available through Photoscape. For example, you could click on “Clone Stamp” instead of “Paint Brush” and then clone areas of the background image. For example, you could blur the background.
  • If you choose “Effect Brush” instead, a small window opens in which you can choose an editing option. There are z. B. "Sepia". If you move it over your background, as described above, it will remain, but it will change color in sepia style.
  • You can also use this method to color the background gray, transform it into a mosaic or crystal, display it as a negative, insert a blur or lighten, deepen and darken it. A lot is possible here, depending on your taste.

The background of an image can be edited in Photoscape very easily and in different ways. This creates unique photos that you can save and share with friends. Have fun trying!
