3 experiments for crèche children
Experiments are not yet suitable for crèche children? On the contrary: toddlers do nothing other than experiment with everything they can get their hands on. Therefore, it is also possible with this age group to carry out small experiments with everyday materials.
1. Experiments with water - what floats?
Experiments for crèche children should be able to be carried out quickly and with simple everyday materials. Experiments with water are particularly suitable, in which the children test for themselves which objects float and which sink.
2. Crèche children experiment with whatever they find
Experiments do not necessarily have to be of a scientific nature. In the day care center in particular, children should be allowed to experiment with anything that catches their attention. Everyday materials such as corks, plastic dishes, buckets or toilet paper rolls invite children to let their creativity run free. Concentration and fine motor skills are also promoted.
3. Everything grows - experiments with plants
In spring in particular, there are experiments for crèche children that have to do with growth. Sow watercress with the children and watch what happens together. Have the children describe what they see and explain what plants need to grow.
