How to make garlands yourself
Before you start with the real Handcraft you have to consider how long the garland you have made yourself should be. From a roll of crepe paper you will get garlands about 10 meters long. You can make garlands of different colors to make the whole thing beautifully colorful.
- In the first step, cut the roll of masking tape once in the middle.
- Then roll up the roll and fold one of the strips together several times.
- Now fold the lower edge up and repeat the step one more time. The first half of the roll is now completely folded.
- Now draw a vertical line every two centimeters from the bottom and top. Each line coming from above should end about two centimeters from the lower edge and the edge coming from below should therefore also end two centimeters from the upper edge.
- The scissors are used in the next step. Now cut in line by line.
- The handicraft work is now slowly coming to an end, because you only have to carefully pull the garland apart and your first self-made garland is now ready.
- Do the same with the second half of the crepe paper and connect the finished garlands with some adhesive tape to form a long garland. This way you can make garlands of different lengths.
