at Tumblr you can register for free and Blogs to write. This way you can share yourself with other users who can even follow your blog if they like what you have to say. So that every blog is individual, you can change the background and, for example, adapt it to the theme of your blog or simply add a little more color.

How to change color on Tumblr blogs

1. First, log into Tumblr. This will take you to the start page and can then click on the symbol (cogwheel) for your "AccountSettings "click.
2. You will be redirected to the settings and then select the "Customize your blog" button. You come to a blog page and you can click the "Templates" button on the left.
3. There you can then select a specific background that you can edit further. For example, select "Free templates" from the list and choose one of them. Good examples are "Cargo Theme", "Chunky", "Royal Cameleon", "Bus Full of Hippies" and a few more.
4. Then click on "Apply" at the top left to save the template. Then you can make further settings. On the left in the settings bar, in the "Appearance" category, you will find a few options for changing the colors of the background.

5. Simply select one of the options and click on the color behind it. A color palette then opens in which you can choose any color that you want to save by clicking on it.
6. You will immediately see your setting in the template, so you can see exactly what you have changed and whether you like it that way. When all colors have been adjusted, click on the "Save" button above.

This is how you insert background images

It works similarly with your own wallpapers on Tumblr:

1. After you have logged into Tumblr, you can adjust the settings by first clicking on the symbol for the "Account Settings", on "Customize Your Blog" and then on the "Templates" button click.
2. Pick one out for yourself. "Redux", "Papercut", "Inkhorn", "Notations", "Solstice", "Lightweight", "Easy Reader", "Effector Theme", "Brutal Simplicity" or "Office" are suitable here.
3. After you have clicked on "Apply", you can then search for "Background" under "Appearance". Behind it is a button with the name "Upload", click on it, whereupon a selection window opens that gives you access to your hard drive.
4. Choose the background image you want to use for your Tumblr blog and upload it with "Open". The image automatically adapts to the background and is repeated over and over to fill the page.
5. With some templates you can even insert your own header in the same way or design certain areas and the text in color. Just try out what you like and confirm at the end with the "Save" button.

Changing the background on Tumblr is therefore very easy. The only thing to note here is that this is not possible for all templates or work with any other settings. Have fun trying!
