Internet Explorer 9: Change the theme

Of the Internet Explorer 9 has recently become available. The browser is much faster and safer than previous versions. At first glance, however, it looks very spartan. With a few clicks of the mouse, however, you can change the design of the new browser.

• The design of the new Internet Explorer 9 is not for everyone. The developers placed great emphasis on making as few menu and buttons as possible visible. This leaves more space in the browser window for the actual content. If you don't like it, you can change the design relatively easily.
• If you click with the right mouse button in the upper window area directly next to the address line, you can select in the context menu which menu bars and toolbars are to be displayed. You should only show the bars that you actually need.
• You can also specify whether tabs should be displayed in a separate line.

Change the favorites bar in Internet Explorer 9

• The favorites bar can be found in Internet Explorer 9 on the right-hand side of the window. Once you've opened it, all you have to do is click the little green arrow to get the bar back to the left as usual.

• However, this only works as long as the favorites bar is open. After closing it is back on the right side.
• If you have already shown the menu bar, you will also find the Favorites menu in it. Of course, this always stays in the same place.

In contrast to other web browsers, the design of Internet Explorer 9 can only be changed to the extent that the menu bars and toolbars can be adapted to personal needs. Further design changes are not possible.
