Postage stamps: making a book for the collection

- Pick up a commercially available photo album. This photo book already has a sturdy cover and solid cardboard sides. Such is ideal for redesigning.
- Now cut strips out of foil. They should be about 4 inches wide and 20 inches long.
- Now glue these strips across the album so that you can then insert postage stamps. The whole thing then looks like a film strip, which will later hold the marks.

Sort the stamps
- Once you have finished the album, sort the stamps. If these are a little arched, you can iron them carefully on a low level. To do this, place a damp cotton handkerchief over it and briefly iron the stamp flat.
- Now sort the stamps into your new book according to their country of origin, age or color. It is up to you which criteria you want to sort by. The best way to insert it into the foil strip is with tweezers. So you don't bend the stamps and there are no unsightly dog-ears.
- Then label the pages of your stamp book according to your sorting.
