Facebook: Send a message if not friends
It happens again and again that you want to exchange ideas not only in groups, but also directly with some Facebook members. Even if you are not friends. Private messages are the ideal means of doing this.

How to send a Facebook message
- If you would like to contact someone from your circle of friends, you only have to contact them profile and click on the "Send messages" button. At the same time, a large amount of information is displayed to you at this moment. This is often not the case with people with whom you are not yet friends. Unless they have marked their profile as public.
- After you have clicked the "Send messages" button, enter your text. The following applies here: "The spice lies in brevity." If the recipient calls up the message via mobile phone or smartphone, it is easier for them to see the brief content.
- After submitting the e-mail the recipient receives a message. It doesn't matter whether you are at Facebook are friends with each other or not. However, please do not necessarily rely on it, because the system sometimes gets stuck. If you would like to privately contact someone with whom you have exchanged ideas in a group, it is best to put a corresponding short note in the respective thread. For example, you could write: "I'm sending you a private message".
Not friends with each other - you can still send messages
- If you are not friends with each other, go to your individual Facebook start page. Here you will find three symbols to the left of the search field. Click the middle icon.
- All messages that you have received via Facebook will then be displayed according to the date. At the same time, there is once again a subdivision into the areas of PO Box and Other.

- In the mailbox you will find all the messages that you have received from your Facebook friends. All messages from strangers are saved in the "Others" area. Here you will also find messages from group members who have not been friends with you yet.
- Of course, you are at liberty to make a friend request to the person concerned before but also after sending the message. Please do not overdo this, because rejected friend requests can temporarily block further requests.
