VIDEO: Make your own kite
Make kites yourself - first you need to make stencils
- To make drawing the dragons on cardboard easier, you should make stencils. If you would like to tinker the kites in one size, then of course a stencil is sufficient. If the kites are to have different sizes, make a template for each size.
- Find a template for kites on the Internet or in a craft store and transfer it to white cardboard with a bleaching pen.
- Then cut them out neatly with scissors or, even better, with a craft knife. These white dragons are your stencils.
Making colorful kites for the window - it's child's play
- Children can also make these pretty window decorations themselves. Choose cardboard in the color of your choice and draw the kite using the stencils.
- Cut out the number of dragons you want.
- Now cut off small pieces from the crepe paper and make small loops from them by simply wrapping a thin thread around the pieces in the middle.
- To complete a kite, take a piece of wool as a kite's tail and glue a certain amount of small bows to it with liquid glue.
- A loop is also glued to the right, left and top of the kite's tips.
- Finally, a friendly face is painted on the kite with a black fineliner.
