Security questions protect your Apple ID

One Apple-ID is an important user account and you need this, for example, if you want to use the Apple App Store. The ID is in the form of an email address and can be created free of charge in a few minutes. When registering, you need an e-mail address, a password and must select three security questions for additional protection. For example, you can choose "What is your dream job?" and must enter the appropriate answer. If you would like to change the settings or the password of your Apple ID in the future, you have to answer two security questions. If you have forgotten the answers, you will no longer have access to your account. In such a case, the only thing that will help you is to restore your account and reset the questions.

A recovery helps with forgotten questions

When creating the account, you were able to enter an additional (optional) e-mail address. If problems arise due to the forgotten security questions, you can have them reset using the second e-mail address.

  1. Start your Internet browser and go to the website of the Apple ID on.
  2. Click on the "Manage your Apple ID" button at the top right and log in with your email address and password.
  3. After you have clicked on "Sign in", a page with your account information will appear.

  6. If you have forgotten the answers, a button with a hint should be forgotten under the questions. You can click on this and have a restore sent to your optional e-mail address. The questions are reset in this process and can be reassigned.
  7. However, if there is no button under the security questions of your Apple ID, the recovery is unfortunately not available to you. In such a case, you need to use the Support Contact Apple. Select the first button and enter your contact details. The support will call you within a few minutes and solve your problem.
