Enter GPS coordinates on Google Maps
With the useful Google Maps web service, you can view numerous places around the world. You can also search for specific objects, such as POIs, and select different views (map view, aerial view or combined). You can also easily enter GPS coordinates and display the location.
The Google Maps service in detail
- Google Maps is a free map service from the well-known search engine provider, which is used in the Internet or can also be used with a mobile device (for example with a smartphone). You can search all over the world by location and by specific object, such as by Search for sights, hotels or POIS and get them in a clear map view shown.
- The service can be set individually and different views can be selected, for example. The free spatial data management is updated regularly and can also be used without any problems with GPS coordinates. Entering these numbers is relatively easy and can be done within seconds. You can therefore also use the service for precise route planning or, optionally, with the additional service Earth.
How to enter your GPS coordinates
- The first thing you need to do is access the Google visit and then select the Maps service in the menu list at the top.
- Next, enter your GPS coordinates in the search line at the top. First write the numbers for north (N) and then the numbers for east (E) in the search field. You do not have to enter an extra character for degrees; the service usually recognizes this automatically.
- After entering, click on the blue magnifying glass icon and Google Maps shows you the exact location of your entered GPS coordinates. The place is marked on the map with a green arrow.
- Now you can either print the map or search for other places nearby.
