  2. Sand the entire surface with sandpaper (400 to 600). If you have experience with an orbital sander you can use it, otherwise you will do it by hand.
  3. Wash off the paint with silicone remover. Wear gloves to avoid accidentally leaving greasy fingerprints.
  4. paint You now cross-coat with the undercoat, which is recommended for the effect paint. Mostly black or white lacquer is recommended. If you are not a fan of surprise effects, then you should follow the recommendations of the paint manufacturer. Let the undercoat dry well.
  5. Stir the effect varnish very well. Now the effect paint is applied. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions. Usually you have to apply 4 very thin coats, one of them in a cross coat. There should be 10 to 15 minutes between the application of the layers. Important: It is essential that you stir the effect lacquer again before applying the next layer.
  6. Finally, you need to apply 1 to 2 coats of special clear lacquer, whereby the last coat should be sanded with 2000 grit sandpaper.

The desired effects will only come out if you carefully apply the effect varnish according to the manufacturer's specifications.
