The color turquoise

Turquoise is one of the mixed colors and lies on the color spectrum between green and blue. So it can be concluded that if you mix green and blue, you get the color. If you don't have green at hand, you can mix it from the basic colors or primary colors yellow and blue. For this reason, green is also one of the secondary colors.

Colours can have a cold or warm effect on people. Turquoise is the coldest perceived color, but it also looks fresh and clear. It is particularly suitable as a wall painting or as a decoration in bathrooms with a maritime flair. If you also mix the color with white or black, darker or lighter shades can be achieved.

This is how you mix the color turquoise

To mix a bold turquoise, you need a rich green and a rich blue. This means that both colors should neither be too light nor too dark.

  1. Add equal parts. To get a feel for the mix ratio first, you should mix equal parts green and blue. Always use the same unit for measuring, such as a teaspoon.

  7. Note the mixing ratio. Whenever you have changed the color mix, you should brush a sample on paper. If you write the mixing ratio under each tone, you can mix the same color tone again later or produce larger quantities of turquoise.
