VIDEO: Tinker with shoeboxes
When you have a few empty shoeboxes again, let your children tinker with them. You can use the kids to make animals out of schukarton boxes, which in the end is sure to bring a lot of great results.
Make animals out of shoeboxes
- First you can make a cow out of a cardboard box with your kids. Paint a shoe box with white paint or use a white box straight away. When the cardboard has dried, any number of stains of different sizes can be drawn with a black pen or with black paint.
- Now draw a cow's head on white paper, preferably with a black pencil, and cut it out.
- Glue a few googly eyes on and some black wool between the painted ears.
- You attach this finished head to a corner of the cardboard box and you have a cute cow.
- Next, you can make a giraffe. To do this, first paint a shoebox light brown and then put the brown stains on it.
- For the neck, take an empty cardboard tube, for example from the aluminum foil, and paint it too.
- Make a hole in the lid into which you stick the neck.
- Then paint the head on brown paper and stick goofy eyes over it and paint the rest of the face.
- For the tail, take brown wool and braid it into a braid. You then attach this to your shoebox and a giraffe is ready.
- You can also make many other animals this way.
