Update Nokia 5230 via PC

  1. If there is a firmware update for your Nokia 5230, you can also update it on your PC using the software PCSuite made by Nokia. Download this, if not already installed, and install the software.
  2. Now first download the new firmware from the Nokia download page. Then open the program and connect your mobile phone to your PC using the USB data cable supplied. Use "Establish connection" to connect both devices.
  3. First start the data backup by selecting it in the menu. Only when this is complete, select the firmware in PC Suite on the left and drag it to the right. The transfer to your Nokia will now start.
  4. Here, too, you will receive a corresponding message after completion. First disconnect the active connection via the software using "Disconnect" before removing the data cable. The program can then be closed again.
