Sew original gift bags from organza

Sewing the organza bag - instructions
- Cut two pieces of fabric with the dimensions 15 x 15 centimeters from the organza. One and a half centimeters are provided for the seam allowance on each side. On the one hand, you can transfer the measurements to transparent or newspaper, cut them out and pin them on the organza. Another option is that you mark the measurements directly on the fabric. Cut out the pieces of fabric exactly.
- This material frays easily at the cut edges. Therefore, fold all sides an inch inwards and iron the fabric smooth. Pick up a piece of fabric and sew with a straight stitch along any edge. That will be the opening later. Repeat with the second piece of fabric.
- Cut a piece of satin ribbon about four inches long. Position it on the outside of one of the organza pieces so that it is two centimeters and in the middle under the later opening. Sew the ribbon in place.
- Now put the two parts right sides together. The already sewn sides lie on top of each other. Sew the three remaining sides together using a straight stitch. Turn the gift bag over.
- The decorative border should go around the entire opening. Take your measurements and cut off a suitable piece of braid. Fix the decorative ribbon with pins and sew it in place with small stitches. It may be helpful to turn the side that is not under the presser foot inside out a little. This is a better way of reaching the point to be sewn.
