A profile for the daycare center is a valuable opportunity for you to introduce your child to both the teachers and the other parents. If the educators already know hobbies, food allergies or personality traits, it will be easier to get started and your child can get used to it better. Include your child in the preparation of these "Instructions for Use".
Profile for the day care center
Use an A3 sheet of paper, preferably made of sturdy craft cardboard, so that you can accommodate all of the information. Choose your child's favorite color and place a photo of your child in the middle. Write with a permanent pen. You can also laminate the finished profile for the day care center so that it can be displayed in the day care center for a long time.
- First, give some general information about your child: first and last name, date of birth, names and occupations of the parents, possibly other caregivers (grandma, nanny, babysitter).
- Describe your child's character. Is it more anxious, lively, or dreamy? How does it react to other children? Is it sociable or rather shy?
- Has your child already had other social experiences, for example in a play group or baby swimming?
- What does your child like to play with? Can your child get along with cuddly toys or Lego busy alone or does it need playmates and interaction with other children?
- If the profile is to be posted, you can write from your child's point of view: "My name is..., I now also belong to (name of the group). I look forward to coming back every day. ”Note, however, that only positive information is listed. If there are illnesses or your child is not yet dry, create a separate profile for the educators.
- Ask your child to paint their favorite objects or animals. If the child collects stickers or does handicrafts regularly, you can take a photo and stick it on too.

Important information for the daycare center
- You should also mention health problems, developmental delays, speech defects and allergies on the profile for the daycare center. Were there or are there serious illnesses that require special treatment? Does your child have frequent colds?
- Was your child a premature baby, needs a lot of petting or does it have food intolerances? Are there any foods or dishes that your child doesn't like?
- In the case of allergies in particular, you should describe in detail what should be observed, as severe allergies can also be life-threatening. In this case, also speak to the teachers.
- You should also include your child's favorite food. Indicate which dishes are particularly popular for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Of course, your favorite sweets shouldn't be missing either.
There are no limits to the design, you can integrate lines from your favorite song, a painted self-portrait of your child or fabric samples. Be sure to ask your child beforehand whether they can share their private information with others children and parents want to make it public.
