General information on language settings on Google
Usually you will find the German Google-Page German automatically displayed as language. Because when a search query is made, Google recognizes the language in which you are searching via the URL field and displays the corresponding page. For example, if you enter English search terms, it opens www.google.com instead of www.google.de. If the automatic recognition fails or does not meet your expectations, you can quickly switch the page to German.
Since Google has made its site even more user-friendly, the switch is on different browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer identical. The procedure can also be applied to all other PC operating systems such as Windows, Linux and MacOS.
Switch Google search to German
With just a few clicks, Google speaks German to you again.
- Switch Google Home. if the Google Suche is not set to German by default, click on "Google.de offered in: German". If that doesn't work, go to step 2.
- Search term. Enter any search term either in the search field or in the URL window.
- Call up Settings. Click on "Settings" at the bottom right. A popup window appears. There click on "Search Settings".
- Setting the language. Click on "Languages" on the left.
- Set the German language. Select the menu item "German" and click on "Save". This saves the search results setting in German.

You will then be redirected back to Google search and can use the GoogleSearch engine now use in German.
Set German as the language for the Google account
If you have a GoogleAccount you can also switch to German or other languages in just a few steps.
- Log in to Google. To do this, log in to Google with your data. You can do this, for example, on the Google homepage or GMailto use.
- Click on "My Account". As soon as you are logged in, click below yours e-mail-Address on the button "My Account".
- Select language settings. On the right side under "Account Preferences" is the menu item "Language and Input Tools". Select this one.
- Select the "Language" menu item. Click on the "Language" field. A new page will appear where you can change your language.
- Set the German language. Click the pencil icon next to the current language field. A screen pop opens in which you can click on your language.
It is no longer necessary to log out and log in for the changes to take effect. Google has made it easier to switch languages. The change also includes all other Google services, the browser and the toolbar.
With the changeover to German in the Google account, you can use all Google products such as GMail, the Google search engine, Google Play and Google Plus in your language. To do this, however, you must always be logged in.
